The reverse of the coin portrays the coloured and stylized images of Solar System, representation of the nine planets, aligned clockwise from the smallest to the largest in size: Pluto, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Earth, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter. Other coloured elements include a comet and a depiction of the Sun. Both the asteroid and cosmic clouds in the background are Antique Finish.
 
The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the name of the Queen, “TUVALU” – the issuing country, “5oz 9999 Ag” – the weight of the coin and the fineness of the Silver, “5 DOLLARS” – the face value and “2022” – the year of issue.
