The coin has Antique Finish quality and comes in a case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 2.022 pcs worldwide.
 
The reverse of the coin depicts the Giant Panda, listed as vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Being a gluttonous of bamboo, the Giant Panda is represented while eating the leaves of this type of grass which is extensively present in Asia. All around the reverse, the inscriptions: "THE GIANT PANDA" - the name of the coin and "1KG .999CU" - the weight and the fineness of the Copper.
 
The obverse of the coin represents the Coat of Arms of Benin with the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU BENIN" – the issuing country, "1500 FRANCS CFA" - the face value and "2023" – the year of issue.
