Germania Mint presents the third coin in its Mythical Forest series, a tribute to the power and mysticism of trees. This year we depict the linden tree, a symbol of femininity, fertility, life and vitality.
 
On the obverse of the coin, we have shown a linden leaf and its flower. It is the inflorescence of this long-lived tree that was used in herbalism and natural medicine. The reverse is the already well-known two-headed eagle, symbolizing the past and the future. The lightning in its talons is a divine attribute, signifying the power to create and destroy.
