2014 China 1 Kilo Kg .999 Fine Silver Panda (w/box & CoA)
 
Each 2014 Kilo Proof Silver Panda coin contains 32.15 troy ounces of .999 fine silver and arrives complete with an original plastic capsule, box, and certificate of authenticity as issued from the mint. This coin, created by the People’s Republic of China, celebrates the iconic Giant Panda. 
 
The obverse features the cuddly bear clambering over a large branch, its feet tangled as it looks out at the viewer. Bamboo, the panda’s primary food source, stretches out behind it. It is labeled with “300 yuan” to the right of the panda, with “1kg Ag .999” near the lower rim. The reverse features the traditional image of the Temple of Heaven, with “People’s Republic of China” written in Chinese characters over the top. The year 2014 is below. 
 
Pandas are such an important symbol of the People’s Republic of China that the endangered species has become a significant part of international diplomacy. The loans of giant pandas to American and Japanese zoos were among the first international cultural exchanges between China and the West, and has become known as “Panda diplomacy.”
 
How to Open the Capsule
The 2014 5 oz Chinese Silver Panda comes in a protective plastic capsule. To open the capsule, twist counterclockwise. The top and bottom will unlock and the coin will be easy to remove. Do not pull apart; this will break the capsule and may damage the coin.
