The Chinese Calendar series presents a new animal every year. 2021: year of the buffle.
 
In Chinese astrology, the sign of the Ox is characterized by endurance, seriousness and reliability. It is a being who is capable of reaching his goals without changing course or determination. 
 
Surrounded by a circle with traditional Chinese motifs, a Buffalo appears in the center of the obverse. Only the front part of the animal is revealed as if it were coming out of a door, gently pointing the tip of its muzzle outward.The ideogram of the Buffalo appears on the right side of the animal. The year and the inscription "Year of the Buffalo" appear at the bottom, inthe outer circle. 
 
On the reverse, the Chinese zodiacal animals are arranged on a screen surrounding a traditional temple door. The figures in this calendar are arranged in a zodiacal cycle from 2018 to 2029. Each of these twelve years features a different animal.
