The reverse of the coin depicts the spectacular double image of Monkey King facing Erlang God, with their golden weapons in a heavenly battle. The 2 Oz Silver coin is struck in a new minting technique that combines 11.5 Oz of Copper in between two layers of Fine Silver, resulting in super ultra-High Relief while being tapped off with Silver Antique Finishing. The technique allows the coin to have an incredible weight and feel in the hand together with 80 mm diameter size.
 
The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "NIUE ISLAND" - the issuing country, "2020" - the year of issue, "ELIZABETH II" - the name of the Queen and "5 DOLLARS" - the face value.
