The reverse of the coin depicts three charming Mermaids calling sailors on a ship on the background. The legend says that Sirens sang with their beautiful voices attracting and enchanting saylors on the rocks close to their island, to kill them. At the bottom, the inscription: “ISLAND OF SIRENS” – the name of the coin.
 
The obverse of the coin presents four sections, each one represeting one of the four coins in the series. At the centre, the Public Seal of Niue. All around, the inscriptions: “MYTHICAL CREATURES” – the name of the collection, “2022” – the year of issue, “5 DOLLARS” – the face value and “Ag 999” – the fineness of the Silver.
