Gold & Silver Bullion Canada and Asturmint are proud to present to you a very special coin, with which we intend to express, in two images, what the Ukrainian people have suffered and experienced over the last two years: the heartbreaking separation from their roots, from their cities, their homes, families who have lost all or part of their parents, leaving children, or parents, or grandparents without their loved ones. But we also highlight the strength of the Ukrainian people who look to the horizon and march forward with hope.
 
Both sides of the coin depict exactly the same scene:
The reverse is showing a soldier accompanying two children out of Mariupol, their home since birth, as the boy looks sadly at what he leaves behind and the girl, still too young to understand, looks on in bewilderment, not recognising what was once her home. Together they walk towards the horizon, searching for new hope.
 
The obverse is the opposite view, we see the soldier facing forward and the children turned, and in the background the entrance to the destroyed city of Mariupol.
 
On this occasion, as an exception, we have decided to mint 730 pieces, one piece as a reminder of each day of the horror they have had to endure in Ukraine. We hope and wish that we will not have to make another one to commemorate three years of war.
